What's The Difference Between Working In A Brokerage vs. A Team?

By: Mark Anderson
Let's talk about 3 things that distinguish the two.
1. Compliance:
As a brokerage, you are responsible for maintaining detailed files and managing compliance with laws and regulations for all agents.
As a team, you are responsible for submitting your transaction documents, but you are not responsible for the secondary compliance review
2. Support: Having a team to learn from and lean on can be a game-changer, especially for agents new to the industry. When joining a brokerage as a solo agent you are not likely to have one on one training or an abundance of hand-selected resources at your disposal. Being part of a team can give you the support, knowledge, and resources to help you be successful.
3. Leads: More leads mean more business! A brokerage is not responsible for providing lead opportunities to agents. Joining a team that provides leads puts you in a position to thrive.
If you're a newer agent or looking to make a move in the industry, these things are good to keep in mind when deciding your next steps.
